As mineral business activists, of course we are familiar with the term mineral resources. Spoons for eating, laptops and computers for working, even what is installed on house doors, namely door handles and locks, are products of mineral resources, especially metallic minerals.
Based on SNI-4726, what is called a mineral resource is a concentration or occurrence of material that has economic value in or above the earth’s crust, with a certain form, quality and quantity that has a reasonable prospect of ultimately being able to be extracted economically.
So what about mineral reserves? Mineral reserves are deposits of minerals whose size, shape, distribution, quality and quantity are known and which are economically, technically, legally, environmentally and socially mineable at the time the calculation is carried out.
