Soil investigations using the Geoelectric Method are carried out using certain types of measurement paths. The length of each track is 120 meters with the initial space (a) being 4 meters. The configuration used in this measurement is the Wenner-Alfa type.

Current (I) originating from the dry battery will be injected into the ground through electrodes A and B. Previously, this current had gone through a strengthening process carried out by the inverter component in the resistivity meter. From this injection, a voltage response (V) will occur coming from the soil/rock layer at the investigation location. This response is then read by a resistivity meter via electrodes M and N.
